Dear Aunt Judi, Karen and Christopher, My thoughts and prayers are with you always, especially now during this most difficult time. ..I am very thankful to have been blessed with your husband and father. ...my Uncle Eddie. He was so influential on me while growing up. ...his playing guitar days with Jackie Apple and the Apple Jacks on the popular Wildwood NJ circuit made me the kid with the coolest Uncle on the block back in Camden. He took time to start giving me guitar lessons in 3rd grade and always made time out of his busy schedule to continue those great, very valuable lessons right thru high school years. He was l always so patient with me, especially all those times I showed up not knowing my lesson. He laid the foundation and taught me to play guitar the right way. It is an art I have enjoyed my whole life and I have my Uncle Eddie to thank for it. ...my Uncle Eddie's love of sports also influenced me greatly. I am forever thankful for the many Flyers hockey games he took me to growing up. A lot of the the Flyers' players use to frequent a club his band use to play so he got to know them well so he then got to take me to some of their practices. He took my picture with one of the star players, Andre Lacroix (our favorite player) after one of their practices.I still have that and the autographed picture, hockey stick, and puck and they are amongst my most cherished possessions. ....thanks Uncle Eddie. ...I am also thankful for the golf tournaments he took me to where I got to see his favorite golfer, Gary Player play along with the other greats that he loved, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. ...I still vividly remember walking up the fairway with Uncle Eddie and Arnie's Army on a hot summer day at the West Chester Classic. What a great time we had together that day. ...what a memory and all because of an Uncle who was thoughtful and kind enough to invite me along. These are just a few examples of how great an Uncle he was to me growing up that I wanted to share with you. I loved and respected him very much and will be forever grateful for being blessed with your husband and father, ...my Uncle Eddie. I'm sure he is in heaven now and will be taking care of all of you from there.
